1. General Terms
1.1. TGT Moves Ltd provides vehicle transport services across the United Kingdom using employed drivers and approved subcontractors.
1.2. By engaging our services, customers agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
1.3. We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1. General Public: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure the service.
2.2. Limited Companies: May be eligible for invoicing terms subject to credit approval. Please contact our office for details.
2.3. Vehicle keys and/or vehicles will not be released until all outstanding charges have been paid in full.
2.4. Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit/debit card, and other methods specified on our website.
3. Insurance Coverage
3.1. Our insurance covers vehicles up to a maximum value of £100,000 during transport.
3.2. For vehicles valued above £100,000, customers must notify us prior to booking to arrange appropriate coverage at additional cost.
3.3. Insurance coverage is subject to compliance with all other terms and conditions herein.
4. Fraud Protection and Legal Compliance
4.1. Customers must provide accurate documentation, including valid V5C (logbook) details that match the vehicle being transported.
4.2. We may utilize OBD readers and other verification methods for VIN checks. Any discrepancies or suspicions of fraudulent activity, including suspected stolen vehicles, will be reported to relevant authorities. Such bookings will be aborted with full fees applied.
4.3. Customers are responsible for ensuring all legal requirements are met for trade plate movements.
4.4. Fraudulent claims or attempts to deceive TGT Moves Ltd may be prosecuted under the Fraud Act 2006.
5. Data Protection and Privacy
5.1. We implement comprehensive security measures to protect customer data and booking information.
5.2. Personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR regulations as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
5.3. Photo identification may be required for verification purposes. Such images will be securely stored and deleted after service completion unless legally required to be retained.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
6.1. Cancellation Policy:
- 48+ hours before scheduled collection: Full refund
- 24-48 hours before scheduled collection: £100 cancellation fee
- Less than 24 hours before scheduled collection: Full charge applies
6.2. Cancellations During Transit:
- If delivery is canceled while the vehicle is in transit, redelivery may take up to 3 working days
- Additional charges will apply based on distance from the original destination
6.3. Refund Processing: All refunds are processed within 7-14 working days in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Delivery & Collection Times
7.1. Standard deliveries will be completed within 3 working days from the agreed collection date.
7.2. All delivery times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather conditions, and operational factors.
7.3. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant delays or changes to collection/delivery times.
7.4. Specified time slots for collection or delivery may be available at additional cost.
8. Vehicle Condition & Compliance
8.1. Vehicles must be roadworthy with no obvious mechanical defects. Bookings may be aborted if vehicles are deemed unsafe, with full charges still applicable.
8.2. Vehicles must have a valid MOT certificate at the time of collection (if legally required). Failure to meet this requirement will result in booking cancellation with full charges applied.
8.3. The registered address on the V5C document must match the collection address unless written authorization is provided by the registered keeper.
8.4. Customers must declare any known mechanical issues prior to collection.
9. Liability & Damage
9.1. We cover damage that occurs during transit, excluding minor stone chips to paint and windscreen that are unavoidable during normal road use.
9.2. TGT Moves Ltd is not liable for pre-existing damage. All vehicles will be photographed before transport to document condition.
9.3. When vehicles are transported by subcontractors, the subcontractor’s insurance covers any damage. We will assist customers in processing any claims against subcontractors.
9.4. Claims for damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
10. Use of Subcontractors and Limitation of Liability
10.1. We may, at our discretion, assign or subcontract transport jobs to trusted third-party service providers. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure that subcontractors meet our standards and hold appropriate insurance, the subcontractor is ultimately responsible for the safe and timely transport of the vehicle.
10.2. By booking with TGT Moves Ltd, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- The transport service may be carried out by a third-party subcontractor.
- We will remain the main point of contact and will handle all payments, but liability for any direct damage or loss during the transport lies with the subcontractor.
- TGT Moves Ltd will assist in resolving disputes or claims, but is not liable for subcontractor negligence, accidents, or insurance issues, provided we have taken reasonable care in appointing the subcontractor.
11. Emergency Repairs & Breakdowns
11.1. In the event of emergency requirements (oil, AdBlue, battery replacements, or tyre changes), we may undertake necessary repairs at the customer’s expense after obtaining authorization.
11.2. Auction vehicle breakdowns will incur additional recovery charges as these vehicles are transported at the customer’s risk.
11.3. Breakdowns of otherwise roadworthy vehicles will be recovered to a single designated location without additional charge.
12. Personal Belongings & Safety
12.1. No personal belongings should be left in vehicles during transport as these are not covered by our insurance.
12.2. No animals are permitted in vehicles during transport.
12.3. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items left in vehicles, except for driver belongings which will be returned at our expense upon email request to [email protected].
13. Legal Compliance & Conduct
13.1. Any parking or speeding fines incurred during the transport period must be reported to [email protected] within 7 days of notification.
13.2. If illegal items are found in a vehicle, we will report them to authorities immediately and abort transport with no refund.
13.3. Abusive behavior toward staff will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of service with full charges applied.
13.4. If a driver is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, customers should contact authorities immediately and notify TGT Moves Ltd.
14. Governing Law
14.1. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2. All disputes arising shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
